“Always be a first-rate version of yourself instead of a second-rate version of someone else.”
~ Judy Garland
I love this quote from the oh-so-stylish Judy Garland, because it resonates so well with my personal belief that just being a woman is, in itself, a beautiful thing.
We as women wear so many hats. We are trying to be the best we can as moms, wives, sister, business women, community leaders, volunteers, etc. When we learn to embrace the unique value we bring to this world, and realize that we are all beautiful, we can then be better moms, wives, business women and more.
Personal style comes from accepting and embracing our unique qualities. Our flaws define us as much as our perfections – and when we accept them as a whole and learn to let our inner beauty radiate out, then we become the first-rate version of ourselves that Ms. Garland talked about.
I love what I do because I get to help women become the best versions of themselves, live the dreams they never thought they could attain. It’s funny how so many little things – like color, a hairstyle or carrying the right things in your bag to that big meeting – can make such a big difference. In the years I’ve been a professional image consultant and coach, I’ve learned so much, and I feel like the most blessed person in the world that I get to share it with you.
